At The Corner House we love to welcome well-behaved dogs, and they stay free when you book direct with us.
We welcome up to two dogs (occasionally three by prior arrangement). The dog-friendly ground floor has hard flooring throughout and a secure courtyard where dogs can safely stretch their legs. After a day exploring the coast, the warm outdoor and boot room showers are perfect for rinsing sandy paws.
To help your dog feel at home, we provide a welcome basket with bowls, blankets, towels and treats, along with information on local dog-friendly walks and pet sitting contacts if you plan a day out.
There are wonderful walks right from the front door, and beautiful beaches, coastal paths and quiet countryside trails are all within easy reach of the house. Many local cafés and pubs are happy to welcome dogs too.
Many dogs quickly discover their favourite spots in the house — stretching out on the warm underfloor heating or curling up in front of the log burner after a day of beach walks and fresh sea air. There is also a comfortable ground-floor bedroom, so if your dog prefers to sleep close by or feels a little unsettled in a new place, they can snuggle down on the floor beside you.
Because we know that dogs settle best when they can stay close to the people they love.
To help maintain the high standards of the house for all guests, we ask that dogs remain on the ground floor and enjoy the house from floor level rather than the furniture.
